Dr Kyle Lifson has over 30 years’ experience in medicine and 20 years’ experience as an NHS Dispensing GP in Rural West Stirling and the Hebrides and has now established Kalmed Clinic; a private General Practice in Stirling specialising in high quality, personalised medical care, and corporate healthcare. His hospital background is in general medicine and cardiology with research and publications pertaining to the acute management of myocardial infarctions.
Dr Lifson has extensive experience in accident and emergency medicine and he has been involved in Expedition medicine for 25 years. He was previously Medical Officer for Lomond Mountain Rescue Team and has been a BASICS (British Association of Immediate Care Scotland) volunteer doctor in Forth Valley for 19 years. He is a Senior Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Glasgow University School of Medicine and has been involved in medical education for 25 years. He has extensive Urgent Care experience and recently also worked as a Freelance Emergency Hospital Rural Practitioner in Cowal Community Hospital in Casualty, Acute Admission/Hospice Wards and Urgent Primary Care.
He is passionate about providing excellent, compassionate, evidence-based and patient-led clinical care. Dr Lifson is originally from California, USA, graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1986 and now lives in rural West Stirling with his wife and four daughters.
