Flu Vaccination - £20
The flu vaccination is offered from September to November each year. Mainly for individuals at risk and for companies wishing to maintain a healthy and productive workforce. Please contact us to discuss individual or corporate flu campaign plans.
Shingles (Zostavax) Vaccination - £200
Shingles vaccination is only available from on the NHS for patients aged 70-79 despite being licensed for patients over the age of 50. Only one vaccination is required to significantly reduce the risk of shingles.
Chickenpox (Varivax) Vaccination - £200
Chickenpox or Varicella vaccination is not routinely administered in the UK childhood vaccination campaign despite overwhelming evidence of safety and effectiveness. It is given in the USA and 32 other major Western countries routinely to prevent childhood chickenpox but is also used to vaccinate adults who usually become more unwell with chickenpox.
The vaccine can be given from the age of 12 months and 2 doses are required. Chickenpox is a live vaccine and is not given to pregnant patients or those with reduced immunity.
Pneumococcal Vaccination - £
Pneumococcus can cause pneumonia, meningitis and blood infections (sepsis). All children over 2 years, adults over 65 years old or adults who have certain diseases of the lung, heart, kidneys or other conditions are eligible for this vaccination. This vaccine is given as a one-off injection in adults.
HPV (Gardasil) - £540
Kalmed Clinic provides the Gardasil vaccine for HPV vaccination and this protects against cervical cancer and genital warts. Both woman and men can receive the vaccine, as the reduction in HPV infection also helps prevent genital warts in men. 3 doses are required (£180 x 3 doses).
